Playdate at Sammamish Spray Park

This afternoon we met Nathan, Kasen and Auntie Corey at the Sammamish Spray Park. It wasn't a particularly warm day but we brought the suits out anyway. I love how Emi and Nathan always have a good time together, I hope Kenzi and Kasen will develop the same kind of connection.

Well our little trip to the park was cut a little short {as nature always seems to call at the
most inconvenient times for us} Good thing the little ones didn't mind and thankfully
Auntie Corey was there to lend an extra hand while I took Emi to take care of business.

We will get these two out for solo playdates soon!

Chelan

Erich was registered for the Chelan Man {2nd time} this weekend and this year we decided to make a little family get weekend away. We didn't actually stay in Chelan {we stayed at a nice little house in Cashmere} which was nice because we were not too far from Leavenworth so we spent some time there and in Chelan. The girls were good travelers and the weather just got warmer and brighter as we headed east. We had fun watching Erich finish his race and even made a trip to Slide Waters Water Park before heading home.

We stopped by a Target on our way to Chelan and Emi asked if we could get a "crispy " like her friend Sabrina. I was clueless about what she was asking but she was pretty persistent and somehow knew Target was the place to get one.

We decide to more closer to the shore to see if we could spot Daddy making his way to the finish line.

Emi was cheering and Erich did a great job finishing on a very hot {82 degree} and sunny day!

Woo hoo!

A nice refreshing orange slice and bagel after a 13.1 mile run {and 58.1 bike ride and 1900 meter swim). This Daddy was ready for a nice shower, dinner, and a nap!

The next day we were off to Slide Waters Water Park.  The girls LOVED this place , it was a bit cool when we first arrived but it was nice and toasty after an hour or so.

she was very excited about being able to do a lot of the slides at this park all by herself! Kenzi had her share of fun too! She loved the lazy river and going down some slides with Daddy and Mommy.

This was a very fun trip and we hope to do it again next summer...thankfully by then Kenzi will not need her bottle to go to bed at night {...which I forgot! How could I forget such a thing right?  Well I just did ;(}

Karate

We signed Emi up for a 4 week karate class at Karate West, 

a few of her friends from preschool were also trying out this summer.

Emi was the only girl in the whole class but I don't think she even noticed.
It was a fun experience I think if Emi asks to do karate in the future we'd sign her up
but she didn't want to continue when the 4 weeks were up.

Bike Ride

Erich worked from home today so we were able to take the girls on a bike ride. We biked to Pine Lake and played decided to bike to Klahanie QFC for a little dinner and Cha Cha Berry yogurt for dessert.

July 4th

Emi's preschool, The Children's Garden, participated in the Issaquah 4th of July Parade.  We decorated her scooter and met her class in down town Issaquah (of course those pictures are no where to be found at the moment).  However, after the parade Emi enjoyed a pony ride and playing with her best buddy, Nathan.

I love, love this picture that Uncle Marc took of Emi and Kenzi. Auntie Jeanie, Uncle Marc and Melanie took Emi and Kenzi out for a day of fun! Thank you for helping me with the girls!
