Emi and Kenzi really enjoy art!

Here they are glittering on a sunny afternoon.

Kenzi's canvas painting.  She designed it herself.  

She began with painting a frame, then the pink dots, and filled in the middle.  

I love it!

Emi's canvas painting...it started out as a rainbow then she wanted to add some gray metallic paint.  It turned out really neat!  She named it, "Orcas Rainbow Water."

I went to a Corks and Canvas event at Capri Cellars, it was so fun!

It makes me so happy that my girls love creating art!

Fender Bender

We got into a little fender bender on our way to soccer {got rear ended}

thankfully it wasn't too bad and everyone was okay.

I had to get a rental car while the van was getting fixed.

Thankfully these girls were cooperating as we rode in 2 different cars 

before getting to our 3rd and final rental car {which ended up being where we started the morning out} kinda of a waste of a morning {the car rental set up was only suppose to take 15- 30min.}

By the time we got to the actual rental car we were going to take they 

had already made progress on the van repairs.

With all the hassle of getting in and out of cars, clipping car seats in and out, 

we were happy that we ended up with the rental car that we did.  

It was a Mazda c5 and it was so fun to zip around in for a few days.

Now we are back in the mini...

Mother's Day

My little girls {and kind husband} surprised me with breakfast 

in bed before I headed out for the {whole} day to be with my mom.

Breakfast in bed, spa treatments, and a yummy home 

cooked dinner by my Dad...it was a fabulous Mother's Day!

{I also received some hand painted mugs from my girls and a nice letter from Erich}

Occasionally the girls will ask to sleep together and we love sneaking in later to check in them.

A Day "In"

This morning we were just too busy to get out to do any of our errands.

I am wondering how our mornings are going to be next year when Emi is in school all day!  

We are going to miss her!

Gelato

We were in Vancouver BC for the weekend Erich ran the 1/2 marathon

{and was happy to finish with a better time than last year}.

We would have liked to have sunshine but instead we had rain...

at least the hotel we stayed at had an indoor pool.  The rain didn't stop us from enjoying some gelato, Kenzi and Emi had lemon and as you can see by their faces...it's really yummy!
