Boating on Lake Washington

We decided to take advantage of what might be the last sunny weekend in Seattle to go on the boat.

Here is our captain.

We left the dock at Newport Shores and headed to South Lake Union to have lunch at 100#Clam.  It was delish!

Things started getting real exciting when we discovered the boat was overheating and we had to call for some help!  It was funny to learn that the two officers that came to our rescue were friends of Uncle Joe.

They were awesome and gave us a tow back to the dock that we launched at...the kids got to drive the police boat and they were very happy about that!

So fortunate that we were all safe and the kids had a positive encounter with police...we will have to wait and see if the outcome of the boat is a positive one or not.

As you can see this lil muffin was VERY happy to begin Kindergarten!

I was waiting and wondering and (hoping that she was really going to love it and not miss her pre school too much because it is such a big change).  Kenzi had a fantastic first day and she's been loving it every since!

We are thrilled that she has the same warm, fun loving teacher that Emi had and that makes all the difference.  I know Kenzi is going to continue to have a wonderful year in Kindergarten!

Jelly Bean Taste Test

These girls always look forward to seeing each other on Mondays...today they planned to have a jelly bean, blind fold, taste testing contest!

It was a hit!

I loved listening to them plan the rules and then giggle when trying to guess what the flavor was.

Erich was out with friends watching the game and enjoying some beers while we stayed home and sported out Husky gear (Emi put her shirt on and Kenzi decided to match).

Here is our SECOND grader, all ready for her first day of school!

Of course for our Emi, she loves her teacher and loves school too.
She's made some new friends and found her old buddies to run around with.  It's going to be a great year for her!

Bowling Birthday Party

We were invited to a bowling party for our friend Emily's {big 40th} celebration!  Emi did great bowling and Kenzi wanted to watch.  It was a great way to spend the afternoon!  Happy birthday Emily!

Cousin Swim Date

The girls had a sleepover at Gung Gung and Po Po's so that we could all go swimming the next morning after breakfast.  Everyone was SO excited and it ended up being worth the wait!

So much FUN!
