Easter

We had an egg hunt at Gung Gung and Po Po's on Easter.  Here are the girls in action...they enjoyed opening up their eggs filled with Hello Kitty squinkies and Annies bunny gummie fruit snacks.

Egg Hunt with Grammie

The girls were invited to the egg hunt at Grammie's church.  I'm sure the egg hunt was fun but the highlight was getting their face and arm painted.

Spokane 2013

We came to Spokane to visit Great Grandma Maxine.  She's been through a lot in the past month {hip surgery, heart stents, illness}  This time when we visited she was in a higher level of care facility and was not able to talk very much.
There was a play ground outside her window that the girls enjoyed.
Weeee!

Kenzi liked the tire swing but in this shot she doesn't look so sure.
Emi and Kenzi couldn't wait to go down and see the ducks by the river, something they always did on our visits to Great Grandmas.
We stopped at the scenic view on our way home, it was a beautiful day!

Sadly, Great Grandma passed away, 3/31/2013.  We love and miss you you!

Children Garden's Annual Egg Hunt

The girls participated in the annual egg hunt at the Children's Garden.  Kenzi really got into it this year and had fun searching for eggs.  Emi did well too {they were asked to find 10 eggs each} after finding her eggs she ran around and laughed with her friends on the playground while adults chatted, it was a fun morning for all!

Fridays with Kenzi

Emi has school from 9am-1pm on Fridays, I love the once-a-week extended school day since it gives me extra time to spend with Kenzi. If I plan my shopping and pay close attention to my lists, Kenzi and I head home right after we drop Emi off to play and have lunch before we head out to our Kindermusik class before we pick Emi up. We were lucky to have sunshine today so we took a nice little walk to the park. Kenzi LOVES the swings, she always asks for "woa woa wee!" which to her is how to ask for a under dog push, she always has a big smile on her face when she is swinging high.

Happy spring!

Spring welcomed us with a nice layer of snow this morning!

Swim and Bike Ride

We had a very busy Sunday together.  After I finished tutoring we {Daddy, Emi and Kenzi} went for a swim, I watched and took pictures.  It had a been a while since the kids had been in a pool but they were all smiles!
Emi was confident swimming/kicking with a kick board.
Kenzi took Emi up on a piggy back ride.

After lunch and nap time we went on a family bike ride. It was nice to take a little ride down to the school and the girls had fun running around.  We hope to go on longer rides when the weather gets warmer.

Issaquah Community Center

I decided it was time to give the Issaquah Community Center another try today. Now that Kenzi and I don't have Little Gym we needed something to do on Wednesday mornings while Emi is at school.  Emi and I met some friends here when she was about 2 years old and Emi didn't find it too exciting.  After our visit today, I think it's the perfect chill spot for Kenzi and Melanie to play {both girls were happy and pretty independent}.  Auntie Anne and Claire joined us today and the girls were busy scooting around in cars, sliding down slides and pushing carts around.  We'll be back again next week!

Tate's 1st Birthday Party!

We joined Trent and Steph, and their family and friends to celebrate Tate's birthday today!  We had a yummy lunch at Shanghi Garden and had fun catching up with friends.  Thanks for a great party and happy FIRST birthday Tate!
Playing peek-a-boo with the birthday boy!

Nathan and Emi, two peas in a pod.
They didn't have to be asked to smile or put their arms around each other for the picture.
It's near impossible to get a picture of these two where one of them is not blurry...
Enjoying some yummy lollipops!

Tate and all the kids that they could round up at the moment for some pictures before cake.

Ski Lesson #5

Here is the latest from Emi and Nathan's ski lessons...they are skiing together, hand in hand.  Corey and Marc took Emi up with them this weekend and they captured this cute couple on the magic carpet.  It's really sweet to see these two giggly friends having so much fun together!

"Dace and Kenny"

Kenzi and Kasen have had a handful of playdates where it's just the two of them, today I dropped Emi off at Nathan's so they could go to Kidz Bounce together and I brought Kasen home to play at our house.  These two cuties had lots of fun and they reminded me of Emi and Nathan at this age.  Kasen called Kenzi, "Kenny" and Kenzi had a hard time saying Kasen, so she called him "Dace."

Kenzi wanted to get the balls and basketball hoop out for Kasen, some how she just knew that he would like it.

A playdate isn't complete until you have played in the tunnel!
Kasen:  Just you wait, we are going to be just as cute or cuter than Nathan and Emi.  Kenzi gazes in agreement.

Time to READ!

Yay for books!  They actually did sit quietly and read/look at several books while I got lunch ready.

Lunch time was productive.  Not only did they eat, they had to stop and tickle each other.

Chowing down!  Kenzi offered to feed Kasen a few bites of food, and he had no problem with that.
After lunch they went back to playing...
One happy boy!

Can't wait until we get these two buddies together again!

Story Time

Almost every Tuesday we go to story time at the Fall City Library.  We love Ms. Paula the Librarian, she always has fun stories and activities for us each week.  We also see our friends Nathan and Kasen there too, which is a bonus!
There's Melanie {18 months} Emi {4 1/2} Nathan {almost 5 yr} Kasen {19 months} and Kenzi {2 yr}

Cousins

I figured it was time for some random cousin pictures...
I snapped this random shot of Melanie and Kenzi one morning as we were running some errands.

The sun was shinning on Tuesday afternoon so we decided to bundle up and take a walk to the Scholastic Book Fair at the neighborhood elementary school.
Melanie was on a roll and did not want to stop.

Then she realized I had my camera out and was ready to smile {cheese!}
