2 Weeks from 5!

Emi has 2 more weeks left as a 4 year old.  I found some more pictures from her half birthday celebration at school.  Here she is in the "birthday chair."

Happy as can be and who wouldn't be on their special day at the Garden?

One birthday celebration days each child takes home a birthday banner signed but each child in the class.  They sit in a birthday circle and sing a special birthday song about how many times the earth has gone around the sun since they were born and stop to bang the drum at each year {a tricky concept with the 1/2 birthday}

Last, birthday treats {optional of course} Emi handed out fruit rope twists which were decorated by Emi and Mommy.

Here's this little Ladybug to be...she's happy and just turned 2!

I am glad I found these pictures of Kenzi too!  

Kenzi will be TWO and a HALF in about 2 weeks!

I love how they are almost exactly 2.5 years apart {especially for birthday planning!}

River

After the library I took the girls for a little walk down by the river.  No one else was there, 

as it was a Tuesday and late in the morning.  Emi asked if she could step into the clear water...

Kenzi wasn't so sure about getting her feet wet.

After watching her big sis, Kenzi decided to join in.  Of course having Emi hold her hand and walk with her was a big help!

Then they found sticks and explored the sand and water.

I never knew this could be so fun!

K & K

I am so excited that these two get to spend more "solo" time together.  It's been wonderful to see the relationship that Emi and Nathan have and I hope that Kenzi and Kasen will form a close bond.  

There is nothing like having a life long friend!

They discovered that the "bubble" look out had a big crack in it so...

being the rock collectors that they are they spent a lot of time picking up rocks and climbing up and down the play structure to drop the rocks down.

Leavenworth

We had a fun weekend in Leavenworth with Kailee and Maia {and their parents}. First stop was Slide Waters in Chelan. Emi and Kenzi LOVED the water slide park, it was sunny, warm, and lots of FUN!

After spending the day in the water we headed to Leavenworth to stay at Kailee and Maia's cabin.  We ate dinner and sat around the fire roasting marshmallows.

And they were YUMMY!

The next morning we had waffles for breakfast.

After lunch and some shopping in town we spent the afternoon playing by the beach at the river.

Building sand castles is so much fun with these girls!

Summer Weather

Summer weather is finally here! I went to grab the water balloons in the garage and came back to find my two like this {...they didn't know I was back and so that's why they aren't looking at the camera.}

We decided to surprise Daddy with some water balloons after work.  Emi and I stashed a bucket filled with balloons on the porch and asked Daddy to call us when he was in the neighborhood.  When he got out of the car Emi asked him to put the yard waste bin to the back yard and then when he came back we were ready to throw some water balloons at Daddy!  Too bad he caught them and got Mommy...fun...next we are going to get some water shooters, watch out Daddy!

The Grange

We made a visit to the Grange to pick up a new compost container, it was a fun field trip with all 3 girls!  

Kenzi plopped down in this chair and said to me, "Mama look I relaxing."  So funny!
