Romp!

Frozen Party
We were invited to celebrate Avery's 4th {Frozen} birthday party at Romp in Bellevue.  This was a very fun "modern play space."  They showed the movie Frozen and had yummy snacks and fun toys!  Emi and Kenzi had so much fun celebrating Avery's birthday.  Too bad I didn't get a picture of the girls and the birthday girl...happy birthday Avery!

Kenzi Time!

Kenzi has been experimenting with ending her naps.  I have a love hate relationship with this stage in a child's life, it's hard but bedtime in the evening is a whole lot better so I guess it's a give and take.

After we dropped Emi off at school and ran a quick errand, we ended up at Cross Roads Mall where they have 25 cent rides.  I had 3 quarters and here is Kenzi on her 3 rides of choice.
What do you know, Kenzi is so happy she's actually looking when I ask to to SMILE and LOOK at my camera...unfortunately she was in motion so these pictures are blurry.
Beep Beep!
This car ride is particularly fun because she can step on the brake to make it stop and go, so of course I get to the be pedestrian who is waiting for the driver to let me cross.  Fun times with my little Kenzi!

Here's a picture of Kenzi with on her pink tricycle and new helmet!  She's really good at pedaling and has been practicing riding a bike with training wheels {gotta keep up with big sis.}

Leprechaun Day

Emi was excited that it was "Leprechaun day" at school today.   She had her out fit picked out and was walking around with various other accessories shown in the picture this morning.   Emi remembered the mischief that the leprechauns left at school last year and so I had to play along this year because she had been talking about it the last few days.  This morning I dyed the toilet water green and left a note by the toilet.  Kenzi was worried that a leprechaun was real so I had to make sure she knew he had left our house...Emi was so happy that Mr. L made a stop at her house before school.

Target Trip

After briefly looking at the end caps of the toy section we found ourselves spending a lot of time in the book section of Target this morning.

Kenzi and Mommy

Kenzi and I dropped Emi off at school this Monday and headed to the library and then walked across to the fish hatchery.  The sun was shining and it was WARM!  It felt so good to be outside and Kenzi was enjoying exploring the hatchery together...
we didn't see any fish but we took this selfie and Kenzi was being super silly!

Our littlest is 3 years old and ready to start preschool in the fall.

Emi's 1st day on the chair lift!

After 4 lessons this season Emi was ready for the chair lift.
$12 for children 5 and under.

They took one run on the magic carpet to get warmed up...

Then headed to watch people get on and off the chair lift...

I don't have a picture because I was in line for the chair lift and couldn't snap a picture, but she got on and skiied down twice {and did great!}

I had not skiied in I don't know 10 years and did surprisingly well!  It was so fun to ski with Emi and her friends after their lesson.  I was amazed to see how comfortable and confident Emi was to ride the chair and ski down the mountain.  Looking forward to another trip up to the slopes with my girl!

Mr. and Mrs. Shark

Emi and Nathan aka Mr. and Mrs. Shark still know how to have fun. Here they are playing outside when I came by to pick Emi up from her playdate with Nathan. The weather has been sunny this week, yay!

{Full Day} Kindergartener!

Here is our almost Kindergartener swinging in!
To get a spot in the full day Kindergarten we had to enter a lottery {the principal literally draws names from a bowl for 40 spots} We thought about putting Emi in the 1/2 session but her preschool teachers believe Emi would be successful and happier in a full day program.
Luckily, Emi got a spot!  Woo hoo!

Here she is in between her soon to be mascots right before her Kindergarten assessment.

This little girl is growing up!

Auntie Christine

Since Kenzi was sick on her birthday we have been catching up with family and friends here and there who have been waiting to celebrate her birthday with her.  Today we visited Auntie Christine and Uncle Eric's house.  They had us over for lunch, dessert and lots of fun and giggles.

Here are the girls in their dressing room which has a nice vanity spot where they noticed Auntie Christine's make up.  They were offered lip gloss...who would turn that down right?

After getting dolled up they played {more} with Davey and Auntie Christine read some snip it from a funny hat book.

We all had a great time!  Thank you for having us over today!

Trip To The Mall

We needed to run some errands in Bellevue this Friday so the girls asked if we could go to the mall while we were in the area.  As I was getting ready they were busy getting ready too!  I came down to find them with necklaces, crowns and begging for lip gloss...it's funny to see this girly side of these two.
Sisters

Kenzi was really into these sun glasses at Claire's.

Our last stop was the Disney store.  I needed to pick up a gift and they were happy to watch some Frozen.

When we go to the mall they like to stop at the Hello Kitty store, not for anything Hello Kitty except for gum and a lollipop.  Then they like to go to Claire's and the Disney store.

Clean?

I was amazed when I asked Emi and Kenzi to pick up their playroom...they actually did after I asked only ONCE!  Usually I have to go in and make sure they are following through or guide them with certain items since they can't reach everything, but this time I was pleasantly surprised that it was all cleaned up and they were hiding from me after.  Silly girls!
So after the playroom was clean, I found them in Emi's room {I swear one space is clean then another is a disaster} I guess I can't blame them for having fun.  I like how Kenzi looks like she's been caught red handed in the first picture...then she realizes oh, Mommy isn't going to freak out :)

I also noticed Emi placed her favorite stuffy in a nice head stand on her shelf...funny!

Being 3

Being 3 has been pretty simple for Kenzi.  Here is how she likes to spend her time...if we let her she could paint something every day!  She loves painting wood pieces from the craft store.

Here is the latest...

Kenzi is also venturing outside of her own house to play...here she is with her buddy Kasen.
They have lots of fun together and will be starting preschool together at The Children's Garden in the fall just like big sister {Emi} and big brother {Nathan}

Here's Kenzi working on a master piece for Kasen.  Instead of using paint these are smooth/soft water color crayons that can be painted over with water...she prefers to just draw/color with these right now.
