Christmas Day

The girls woke up and came to our room, ready to head downstairs to see if Santa came...
since Emi was so concerned about Santa coming inside the house they found their gifts right inside the front door.
Their big gift was the doll house.

Emi sorted their gifts ... and they were patiently waiting to begin opening them.

Emi's was hoping for a rainbow loom and Kenzi rainbow paint!

Accessories for their doll house...

Chapstick and a veterinarian kit.

Opening their presents at Grammie's
Kenzi got a princess dress up set and Emi a microscope {she's been interested in science lately}

Playing the piano at Gung Gung and Po Po's

What a fun filled Christmas day!

Of course our girls received more gifts than they really needed, thank you for all the gifts we will be busy writing thank you notes to all of you!

Christmas Eve

Since we were going to have breakfast and open gifts at our house in the morning, then go to Erich's mom's for lunch and then dinner at my parents we {I} decided that we should take pictures by the tree on Christmas Eve so we didn't have to be so rushed on Christmas morning.

Merry Christmas!

After we got our family shot Emi {and then Kenzi} insisted on taking a few pictures too...

After pictures it was time to get ready for Santa...
this was the first year we left milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer so it was fun to watch their excitement and care.

Once we thought we were all set, Emi got worried and didn't want Santa coming inside the house...so they moved the treats to the porch.
Then it was off to bed!

Gingerbread House

We invited Uncle George over to make our annual gingerbread house.  Last year our gingerbread house building did not turn out so well...this year was much better!

Uncle George brought gifts for the girls...
Thanks for Uncle George they have the cutest piggy banks for saving money!
Next it was time to begin our gingerbread building...mixing up the frosting.
Piping the icing to hold the house together...
Decorating...
We got this gingerbread house from Trader Joe's...
Looking good!

Thanks for spending your evening with us George!

Snow Day!

Emi and Kenzi were surprised and happy to see snow when they looked out the window this morning.  Kenzi said, "Let's see if there is snow down stairs out the window!"  Emi said, "there will be!"

This is the first time it's snowed enough for Kenzi to play in the snow at our house the last big snow she was not even a year old.  They had fun playing outside for almost an hour until they decided to come in for some warmth.
snow, snow snow!

Happy Holidays!

Whether you stop by our blog frequently or just every now and then, thank you for stopping by.

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you all the best this season - Erich, Carrie, Emi and Kenzi

Christmas Caroling

Emi was invited to go caroling with one of her classmates...what a fun event it was!  They all looked so cute in their elf hats too.  I was holding Kenzi most of the time {and it was COLD} so whenever they were walking and moving along I wasn't able to get a good front shot.

Kenzi thought this snowman was pretty funny!

Family Pictures

We got together with my family for some photos...and here is what we got.
It was cold and just about impossible to get the little girls to smile and cooperate simultaneously...but our very patient photographer did a great job!
