Refinished Shelf Part 1

Here is a shelf I found for $15 at Trinkets and Treasures in Fall City.  It sat for a while in the garage until I got around to buying the primer below.

This primer did a great job covering, I did 2 coats.

And I had a lil helper {sweet Emi 5yr}

Here's the current state of the shelf.  Now I have to decide on it's final color and finish.

Coastal Clean Up!

We took part in a helping out at the International Coastal Clean Up event at Alki Beack this morning!  It was organized by one of the families that Emi goes to school with, a great way to teach our kids about helping the earth!

After the clean up we enjoyed lunch with our friends at Marination Ma Kai, it was YUMMY!

Potty Time!

I have put it off long enough...it's time to start potty training for Kenzi.

Since Kenzi does not like to waste time she decided it would be best to continue cutting while sitting on the potty...what a multi-tasker.

Here is my sweet girl...this face reminds me to be patient during this process.  

Kenzi has been pretty good with letting me or Emi {who has been a great help!}

Gung Gung's Birthday Party

We celebrated Gung Gung's birthday today...we were busy but it was FUN!

Make up play!

Emi has been asking for a make up kit ever since she played with her friend's at a playdate.  I finally broke down and bought her some colorful eye shadows, blush and her very own brush.  She was sooooo happy and excited!  Since this day, she has not asked to use her make up again...I guess once was enough for now :)

After school we met up with Emi's class at Yum-e Yogurt.  Kenzi was very happy to join us!

5 year check up

Our little Emi checked out just fine.  The highlight of her check up was that she didn't need any shots.

Emi is 43.75 inches tall, 43 lbs.  Happy & healthy, we couldn't ask for anymore :)

We had her 5 year well check up almost a month after her 5th birthday because Dr. Ryan was on sabbatical.

Fairy Portraits

Melanie, Auntie Jeanie and Uncle Marc treated Emi and Kenzi to a fairy portrait session at Yuen Lui.  The girls chose their dresses and could not take their eyes off themselves.   It was very fun to see how they looked in the mirror.  Once they had their wings on they were ready for the garden fairy back drop.

see them in print.  Thank you so much!
