Richland and Spokane

I attended a conference in Richland this week {with a mom from Emi's preschool}.
It worked out great that the dads took the kids while Amy and I were in the conference.  The weather was nice and warm, while we were stuck inside the kids went on a hike and swam.

After Richland we headed to Spokane for Christin and Josh's wedding.
Of course we didn't leave Spokane with out visiting the River Front...

Kenzi saw this giant shoe when we entered the downtown
shopping center and wanted to hop in for a picture.

We missed the carousel the first night but were back the next morning for a ride.

Emi also wanted to feed the goat trash {as she always does when we visit the park}.

Since Erich has taken 2 days off so I could attend my conference he had to work Friday.
While he worked the girls met up with Auntie Christin, Auntie Bekah,
and Auntie Robin to get our nails and toes done for the wedding.  It was the first time
the girls got their toes polished in a salon and they really liked the flowers that they had painted on their toes.
{pictures from the Hasen wedding to come!}

Pink and sparkly pink nails for Kenzi.

The girls were really interested in riding the gondolas but it was too hot to be
enclosed in the gondola so they settled for another carousel ride.

Kenzi didn't want to ride on her own...Emi was ready to go!

Camping- Birch Bay

We camped at Birch Bay State Park this weekend with the Chan family.

We were hoping to do come clamming but it was red tide...boo.
We still had a fun time spending time together and the kids got along great!
Everyone sitting around the camp fire, getting ready to toast marshmallows.

{We need to add more pictures from the beach}

Evidence of a successful and fun camping trip!

Cinema Under the Stars

We attended a fun event tonight, Cinema Under the Stars, put on by a few families from the Children's Garden {auction item}.  There's nothing like enjoying hot dogs, potato salad and a movie {with popcorn} with good company!

Summer Buddy Kicks

We attended Buddy Kicks in the spring and were excited to attend again this summer.  It's a 2 day soccer camp that 2 Issaquah SD teachers organize for free to the community.  We met up with several Garden kiddos and had a fun morning playing soccer games.
Kenzi wasn't that interested in soccer, this is how she "played" {which was just fine we packed snacks to keep her busy} Emi had a great time!

Little Gym

We thought it might be a good idea for Kenzi to experience some activity this summer where
she had to participate without mommy.  Here she is all ready to go {second week of her
Jazzy Bugs class at the Little Gym}.  Her first class was a little bumpy, some
tears and not feeling confident...she looks like she's good to go here!
Hmmm...2nd week of class went better than the 1st class...the 3rd class began much like the 1st but she did begin to show more interest and participate after a lot of watching.  It's interesting to watch how Kenzi takes on new things...she's getting there and we are so proud of our lil bug!

Polished

Auntie Laurie invited us to get our nails done before her wedding.  This was the first time they'd had their nails done at a nail salon.  They were SO excited!
Can you see the true happiness in the eyes of these two little girls?
Kenzi picked a purple color and Emi picked magenta.
Thank you for treating us Auntie Laurie!

Flower Girls

My friend Laurie is getting married this weekend and asked Emi and Kenzi to be flower girls in her wedding. Of course Emi and Kenzi are honored to fulfill the duty and LOVE their pretty dresses and fancy shoes!

Treat

Kenzi and I had some time to kill {Emi was in math class} and I realized that I needed a quick snack...we ended up at McDonalds on this warm afternoon.  Here's Kenzi with a cool treat!

                                                                      Happy, happy!

Jefferson park

We met Auntie Christine for a playdate at Jefferson Park near her house.  The weather was perfect for our picnic lunch and adventures at this beautiful park!  I remember spending lots of time here when I was young with Christine...I love bringing the girls to places that I have been as a child.

Here's Kenzi, she enjoyed walking along the edge of the zipline pad.

Here's Emi...she could spend ALL day on the zipline!
Thanks Auntie Christine for a fun morning together!
